Troubleshooting
Calm checklist for the issues we see most. Start at the top of the section that matches what you’re seeing.
Phones not found (Local)
- Same Wi‑Fi for both phones and the PC?
- Lil Eye open, Local mode, permissions allowed (camera / local network)?
- Do not click Start Dual iPhone or Rescan iPhones. The phones start the show. Those buttons are only a fallback.
- Windows firewall: allow Lil Stitcher on private networks. The phones find the desk on port 7770. The live eyes use WHIP on port 9885.
- Restart Lil Eye on both phones, then Stitcher, then try Go Live again.
More context: Local dual guide.
Away dual stuck waiting
- Both phones must stay on dual Away and keep publishing.
- Stitcher must be signed in with a non-empty dual balance.
- Wait for publisher ready — not just session URLs.
- If one eye 404s, give it a short moment; the app backs off and retries.
Guide: Away dual.
Two circles on black
- Device should be Lil Eye, not a USB fisheye mode.
- Input should not read SBS Fisheye VR180 (stitch). That circle-crops a 16:9 iPhone frame.
- Shift should be 0. A large shift (for example −105) stacks extra stereo on top of the two phones. The phones already supply that gap.
- Black bars around a smaller rectangle are letterbox. Lil Eye stretch-fills each ultra-wide into its half of the plate.
- Field of view should read 180, not 120 (the phone lens) and not 205 (the USB fisheye default).
- Select Lil Eye in the device list again. The lock snaps those values and clears the fisheye stitch. The phones also apply that lock when they connect.
Guide: what the picture should look like.
Sign-in / desktop access
- Complete browser sign-in fully (don’t close the tab mid-flow).
- If access is denied, top up or subscribe, then reopen Stitcher.
- Still blocked? Check account on the web.
Crash vs Quit (watchdog)
- Crash / freeze: watchdog relaunches Lil Stitcher with
--supervised, reuses your saved login, and tries to restore Away / dual work. - Normal Quit: writes a clean shutdown flag and stops the watchdog — no automatic relaunch.
If recovery doesn’t sign you in, open Stitcher once manually, sign in, then keep using it —
the session is stored for the next crash recovery.
Logs for support
From phone status help in the app you can open the logs folder. When contacting support, include:
- What you were doing (Local vs Away)
- Approx time of the issue
- App version (see BUILD_INFO or about if available)
- A zip of recent log files if asked
